Mfantsipim seems to be sitting on a gold mine as far as tourism is concerned. The reason being that, a quantum of legacy has been bequeathed to her by the founding fathers.

 The head of conservation international, Mr. Nkunu Akyea,  at the heritage house is ready to assist the school develop her tourist sites for the following reasons

As the premier secondary school dating from Gold Coast times to date.
Development
Original place of establishment sited within the most important tourist sites in Cape Coast.
Grooming of nationalists.
Independence
Raising legends like Kofi Annan

The PATO and one old bungalow (and annexes outside the school) have been earmarked to store and showcase the heritage of Mfantsipim. 

History & Tourist sites linkages.

In 1876 the governor sent an order from the castle to the Methodist Synod that Mfantsipim should not be established at all, let alone in his vicinity. Mfantsipim was to be established in Accra because the seat of Gold Coast was moving to Accra.

The Methodist Synod defied the government and established Wesley High Boys School on Mount Hope  slightly over looking Steadfast Hill, where Wesley Girls High School was later established.

Mount Hope seemed to be in the centre of Cape Coast tourist sites.
