Ghana is one of the countries
in Africa. In 1957 6th of March, it won independence from the British colonial
rule. In July Of 1960, it became a republic. Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah
Who was the first Prime Minister at independence became the first
president of the republic.
Ghana is in the fourth republic and J.A. Kuffour is the current
president.
Immediately after independence Ghana began her developments especially in the area of man power development. In
order to produce efficient and competent men and women who could manage
the sensitive socio-economic sectors.
Kofi Annan, the current UN secretary
among others, is one of the nobler
sons and daughters of international repute that Ghana has bred. Mfantsipim
School did almost all to educate and groom him. It all happened in Ghana, precisely
in one of the ten regions called Central Region.
